 Objectives:

  • To identify and rehabilitate street children from Nairobi.
  • To facilitate reintegration of street children back into society
  • To promote networking, Information and learning in the street children sector
  • To conduct monitoring, evaluation and documentation of best practices from our work.
  • To enhance our capacity to fundraise and implement our program.

Our core values:

  • Spiritual nourishment is essential in the rehabilitation of street children.
  • Families represent the basic unit of care, nurturing and support for children and therefore families have to be supported to take care of their children.
  • Children have a right to participate in decisions that affect them; with their informed consent they make the decision to join the programme and should be involved in the affairs of Kwetu Home of Peace.
  • Discipline is important for the physical well-being and safety of a child as well as for his or her social and emotional development. Discipline has to be maintained in working with children.

Street children have the potential to become productive members of society and all they need is our support.
